This special exhibition commemorates Market Kurly's signing of the official Michelin Guide partnership last year, the first among online food distribution companies.
Market Kurly was recognized for its contribution to the development of Korea's gourmet ecosystem and was named an official partner of the Michelin Guide in November last year. Among domestic and international online food distribution companies, Market Kurly was the first to be selected and now operates as an official partner of the Michelin Guide Seoul.
The first special exhibition revealed recipes from "Mitou," a restaurant selected as a 1-star Michelin Guide Seoul restaurant in 2021 and 2022. Mitou is a kaiseki cuisine specialty restaurant aiming for Korean-style Japanese cuisine, and Chef Bomi Kim of Mitou also won the 2022 "Michelin Seoul Young Chef Award." The representative recipes introduced were "Gomoku Chirashi Sushi," made by mixing cooked lotus root and asparagus with rice topped with fresh salmon, and "Sea Bream Onigiri," made using seasonal sea bream. Although these recipes are from Michelin-recognized restaurants, they are simple to make and recommended as spring picnic lunch menu options. Along with the recipes, related ingredients such as salmon, lotus root, and rice are also offered.
Furthermore, from the 11th of this month for three months, Kurly plans to supply ingredients to four Michelin Guide Seoul 2022 star restaurants (Gaon, Mitou, Bicheyna, Koja Cha) and Restaurant Allen. Dishes made with Market Kurly's signature ingredients such as Wando abalone, mini perennial snow strawberries, pork ribs, truffle oil and truffle cheese, and Modena balsamic vinegar will also be available at Michelin-starred restaurants.
Meanwhile, Market Kurly is also selling the "Michelin Guide Seoul 2022" booklet. The "Michelin Guide" is a booklet first distributed by the Michelin Group in 1900 to provide helpful information for automobile travelers and is now recognized worldwide as an authoritative evaluation of restaurants and hotels. Currently, it selects the best restaurants in 37 countries worldwide and has published the 28th edition, "Michelin Guide Seoul," since 2016.
