[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The Russian government stated that there is "still no breakthrough in sight" regarding peace negotiations with Ukraine.
According to major foreign media on the 30th (local time), Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office, made this remark about the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia held in Turkey the previous day. He said, "It is positive that Ukraine has presented concrete details and started documentation," but added, "However, the outlook does not seem promising, nor is there a breakthrough in sight."
Regarding the talks, which were originally scheduled to last two days but ended after only a few hours, he said, "The talks did not end abruptly," and "The delegations proceeded to find common ground." He added that the Russian chief representative would announce more detailed information later that day.
