Imsil N Cheese Wins Korea Representative Brand Award... 9 Consecutive Years of Achievement
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Jeonbuk’s ‘ImsilN Cheese’ achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Korea Representative Brand Award in the processed food category for 2022, marking its ninth consecutive year of receiving the award.
According to the county on the 30th, the Korea Representative Brand Award is selected directly by consumers through a strict and fair survey of brands loved by consumers.
It is the nation’s top brand award established to assess brand competitiveness and lay the foundation for becoming a global representative brand beyond Korea.
Since successfully producing cheese for the first time in Korea in 1967, ImsilN Cheese has continued its history and tradition for over 50 years.
Using first-grade fresh raw milk, it produces high-quality cheese and dairy products tailored to Korean tastes, growing into a Korea representative brand with the nickname ‘When you think cheese, think Imsil.’
Imsil County’s cheese industry produces the freshest cheese and dairy products by utilizing first-grade fresh raw milk through sterilization processes at 13 ranch-style dairy processing plants including the Imsil Cheese Agricultural Cooperative, producing 1% of Korea’s eco-friendly high-quality cheese.
Additionally, the Imsil Cheese & Food Research Institute is accelerating continuous research and development to produce various products that suit consumer preferences and create unique products distinctive to Imsil.
Through technology transfer to dairy processing companies, it is enhancing the competitiveness of the Imsil cheese industry and establishing a thorough hygiene and quality management system.
Moreover, the ImsilN Cheese Festival, Korea’s only representative festival themed on cheese, has been designated as a cultural tourism festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 2020, and was selected as Jeollabuk-do’s representative festival in 2022, solidifying its reputation as a Korea representative festival.
The county plans to continue efforts to expand the production base and sales network of dairy products, following the will of the late Father Jijeonghwan, to promote stable production and market expansion of ImsilN Cheese.
The ‘Imsil Cheese History and Culture Center,’ a historical, cultural, and experiential space where visitors can see at a glance the history and growth process of Imsil cheese and honor Father Jijeonghwan, the father of Imsil cheese, is currently under construction.
The Imsil Cheese History and Culture Center, which will include the Jijeonghwan Father History Hall, Imsil Cheese Hall, World Cheese Hall, cheese manufacturing and aging rooms, and a cheese caf?, will welcome visitors with various immersive contents tailored to the latest trends.
A county official said, “ImsilN Cheese has earned the honor of winning the Korea Representative Brand Award for nine consecutive years. We will continue to strengthen the production base and sales network of cheese and dairy products to promote stable production and sales expansion of ImsilN Cheese, firmly establishing its reputation as a Korea representative brand.”
