Expecting Over 1,000 New Hires in the Semiconductor Wafer Sector
On the 29th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk signed a memorandum of understanding for investment worth over 1 trillion won with SK Siltron at the city hall situation room.

With this large-scale investment, SK Siltron has laid the foundation to collaborate with global semiconductor companies and become a leader in the global wafer market.
The city has been promoting various attraction plans for SK Siltron's expansion investment for nine months since July last year. As a result, SK Siltron quickly decided to invest in Gumi.
SK Siltron will build a 300mm wafer factory with an area of 42,716㎡ within the Gumi National Industrial Complex 3 by 2024.
It is also expected to contribute to job creation by hiring about 1,000 new employees.
