Gwangju Buk-gu Holds Briefing Session on Small Business Support Program

Explanation of Support Projects for Overcoming COVID-19 and Business Recovery
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju announced on the 29th that it will hold the ‘2022 Small Business Economic Recovery Support Project Briefing Session’ on the 30th, attended by representatives of 18 organizations including traditional markets, merchant associations, and industry-specific associations.
This briefing session was prepared to provide local small business owners with information on support and various projects promoted by the government, Gwangju City, and Buk-gu to help overcome COVID-19 and recover their businesses.
In particular, the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the Integrated Support Center for Low-income Finance, and Miso Finance Gwangju Buk-gu Corporation will also participate to explain financial support projects for small business owners.
After the briefing session, Buk-gu plans to listen to the management difficulties of the attending organizations and pay close attention to voices from the field.
The center is promoting various livelihood economy stabilization projects such as support according to the life cycle of small business owners, creating a sustainable self-employment environment, and inclusive support for financially marginalized groups.
Director Moon said, “I hope local small business owners gain useful information through this briefing session and can apply it to their management,” adding, “Buk-gu and related small business organizations will continue to do their best to overcome current difficulties and provide support.”
Meanwhile, since the launch of the 7th local government administration, Buk-gu opened the Self-Employment Support Center in July 2020.
