View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, on the 29th, donated 22,571,500 KRW to the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea to support recovery efforts and aid for disaster victims from the large wildfires that occurred in Samcheok, Gangwon, and Uljin, Gyeongbuk.
The city stated that all city hall employees raised the funds to comfort the residents of the affected areas who lost their homes and workplaces to the fire and to help them restore their daily lives.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu said, "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the residents who suffered great damage from the sudden fire," and added, "I hope this contribution can be of some help and that they can return to their normal daily lives as soon as possible."
