Gwangju Seo-gu to Conduct Civil Defense Cyber Education Again This Year

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City will conduct cyber education for all civil defense members again this year from July 1 to July 15, considering the spread of Omicron.

According to Seo-gu on the 29th, this education will be conducted for about 18,000 members affiliated with Seo-gu. Members can receive electronic notices on their registered mobile phones, and supplementary education for those who do not complete the course will be additionally conducted in the second half of the year.

The education content consists of the duties and roles of civil defense members, infectious disease prevention, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and national action guidelines for daily safety.

Civil defense members who wish to participate can access the Digital Civil Defense Education website through an internet portal, complete identity verification, and then complete the course.

Detailed education schedules and notices will be sent via mobile devices, and announcements will also be made on the Seo-gu Office website, Facebook, KakaoStory, and other platforms.

A member who completed the cyber civil defense education last year said, “Unlike the past when I had to attend emergency assemblies during commuting hours, it was really convenient to complete smart civil defense education centered on administrative demanders.”

Meanwhile, civil defense members who have difficulty participating in online education will be provided with opportunities to receive education in writing.

In a satisfaction survey on the smart civil defense education conducted last year, 98% of the participants responded that it was “above average,” showing a positive response.
