Court Suspends Effect of Dismissal Resolution for Heukseok 9 District Redevelopment Association President and Executives
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] The resolution to dismiss the chairman and executives of the redevelopment association for the Heukseok 9 district housing redevelopment project in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, will be suspended until the related main lawsuit ruling is finalized.
According to the court on the morning of the 25th, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 51 (Presiding Judge Jeon Boseong) recently partially accepted an injunction request filed by the chairman and executives of the Heukseok 9 district association to suspend the effect of the dismissal general meeting against the association.
Earlier, some members of the Heukseok 9 district association held an extraordinary general meeting on December 24 last year and resolved to dismiss the chairman and executives. The minutes of the general meeting stated that 400 out of 685 total members, a majority, attended.
However, the court pointed out, "There is a possibility that the resolution is invalid as it was made without meeting the quorum," and "According to the general meeting materials, the actual number of submitted written resolutions was 372, and the number of direct attendees was 7."
