Wanju-gun Supports New Residents with Local Food Packages
Provision of a Package Worth 50,000 KRW After One Year of Residence
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju-gun announced on the 24th that it will provide a local food package worth 50,000 won to residents who move in.
The 'Local Food Package Support Project' is one of the relocation support projects. If a person who has had an address in another city, county, or district for more than two years forms a household and moves into Wanju-gun, after one year, they will receive local food worth 50,000 won.
This project differentiates itself from other regions' population inflow measures and aims to contribute to the income of local farms. The 'Ordinance on Supporting Population Increase Projects in Wanju-gun' was revised at the end of last year to allow relocation support funds to be provided as local food (agricultural products).
The 50,000 won local food package consists of fresh and healthy agricultural products from the region, and delivery is handled by the Wanju Public Meal Support Center, which has a safe management system in place.
Residents who move in can apply for the project at the eup/myeon administrative welfare center and receive the local food package within one month.
Applications for the project can be made within five years from the date of relocation registration, and those who moved in before June 30, 2019, must apply by the end of next year.
Meanwhile, in the case of last year, about 6,190 people moved in from other cities and counties within the province, and about 3,000 people moved in from other cities and provinces, totaling more than 9,000 people moving in from other regions every year.
