"Spiciest Champion" Paldo Officially Launches 'King Ttukgyeong'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Paldo announced on the 24th that it will officially launch the limited edition 'King Ttukgyeong'.
King Ttukgyeong, introduced last January, sold out its initial 1.5 million units within a month, surpassing a cumulative sales volume of 3 million units within two months of its release.
The lid's Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) is 12,000, the highest among domestic cup noodles released to date. Based on Vietnamese Haenam chili and Cheongyang chili peppers, the soup quantity was increased by 3g to deliver an addictive spicy flavor.
Through the official launch of King Ttukgyeong, Paldo plans to actively target the 'spicy cup noodle' market, which was previously harder to access compared to bagged noodles.
