Hapcheon Museum and National Gimhae Museum Selected for Joint Project Related to Gaya History
Special Exhibition Held to Commemorate the Designation of Hapcheon Samga Burial Mounds as Historic Site
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon Museum in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, has been selected for the Gaya History Joint Project contest hosted by the National Gimhae Museum.
The National Gimhae Museum selected partner institutions through a contest and review process targeting museums within the Gaya cultural zone to promote efficient research, restoration, and publicity of Gaya history.
Hapcheon Museum will hold a special exhibition commemorating the designation of the Hapcheon Samga Tumuli Cluster as a historic site, supported by national funds from the National Gimhae Museum. The special exhibition is scheduled to be held from September to November 2022.

A county official stated, “Starting with the joint project special exhibition of the Hapcheon Samga Tumuli Cluster, we will widely promote the significance of the tumuli cluster’s historic site designation and continue efforts to restore the diverse Gaya culture of Hapcheon.”
