School Violence and Sexual Violence OUT! ... Yeongyang Police Conduct New Semester Prevention Education
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] The Yeongyang Police Station in Gyeongbuk conducted education on school violence and sexual violence prevention at Yeongyang Girls' Middle and High School on the 22nd to mark the new semester.
This education was prepared to proactively respond to changes in the educational environment due to full in-person attendance and to school violence. The school police officer provided prevention education to new and returning students and produced and distributed leaflets detailing reporting methods and response measures.
In cooperation with four policy advisory members, they conducted focused inspections of school restrooms, dormitories, and shower rooms where illegal filming cameras were likely to be installed. One student advisory member said, "Using the detector seen on the news to directly detect illegal cameras and conducting inspections relieved my anxiety."
