A 'Matching Day' event providing job information will also be held.
The Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Plant Association (Shipbuilding Association) announced on the 23rd that it will hold the 'Gyeongnam Region Shipbuilding Sector In-house Partner Skilled Workforce Matching Day' with this purpose. The Matching Day will take place on the 24th at the Changwon Convention Center. The event is co-hosted and organized by the Shipbuilding Association, the Shipbuilding & Marine Industry Human Resources Development Committee, the Gyeongnam Regional Human Resources Development Committee, the Gyeongnam Employment Stability Preemptive Response Support Center, and the Geoje Shipbuilding Hope Center.
Fifteen in-house partner companies from K Shipbuilding (formerly STX Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering), Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, and Samsung Heavy Industries will participate in the Matching Day, planning to hire a total of 204 workers. They will recruit practical workers in fields such as welding. The number of recruits by field and wages will be disclosed on the Worknet website before the event. Job seekers who visit on the day of the Matching Day with resumes and other interview documents will be given on-site interview opportunities. Information and consulting will be provided to job seekers regarding the shipbuilding industry's specialized job search platform, interview booths for participating companies, and employment consulting booths (resume editing and interview coaching).
