Chosun University Hospital-KDABOM, Agreement for Remote Medical Support for Overseas Korean Residents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Hospital Director Kim Kyungjong) announced on the 22nd that it recently signed an agreement with K-DerBom Co., Ltd. (a joint industry-academic commercialization corporation of Sogang University) for the ‘Remote Medical Support Project for Overseas Korean Residents.’
Both organizations recognized the necessity of remote medical services to improve the quality of life for overseas Koreans.
This agreement was made to provide high-quality K-Health services from Chosun University Hospital to 7.5 million Koreans worldwide by collaborating with K-DerBom Co., Ltd. (CEO Professor Han Jaehyung), which has established a remote medical consultation service platform for overseas Koreans.
K-DerBom Co., Ltd. has so far provided and supported Korean association-exclusive communication platforms free of charge in major cities such as the top 10 North American regions including LA, New York, and Atlanta, as well as in Asia including Hong Kong and Europe including Poland, and is widely promoting the current status of K-Health’s remote medical services.
According to the agreement, Chosun University Hospital will conduct real-time medical planning and health consultations for Korean communities in 10 North American regions, Hong Kong, Poland, and other Korean societies through K-DerBom’s overseas Korean service infrastructure.
Hospital Director Kim Kyungjong said, “Through innovative medical systems and platforms, we will provide real-time health management services to overseas Koreans and also prepare preferential health checkup programs for Korean members visiting their homeland.”
Han Jaehyung, CEO of K-DerBom Co., Ltd., stated, “I feel rewarded that the Korean association-specific communication platform app played a role as an emergency communication network protecting the daily lives of overseas Koreans during the critical COVID-19 period. Since last year, with the limited allowance of remote medical treatment for overseas Koreans, I also feel a proud sense of responsibility to serve as a connection between excellent K-Health services and overseas Koreans struggling with various obstacles in local medical services.”
