Park's representative, lawyer Yoo Young-ha, stated in a text message exchanged with Asia Economy on the 22nd, “(Former President Park) will be discharged at 8:30 a.m. on the 24th,” adding, “Her health has recovered enough to receive outpatient treatment.” Park, who was admitted to Samsung Seoul Hospital in Irwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on November 22 of last year, continued inpatient treatment at the same hospital even after her special pardon on December 24. On the 5th of this month, she also visited a nearby polling station to cast an early vote.
Regarding her schedule on the day of discharge, Yoo replied, “As of now, there are no other plans, and she will move directly to her residence in Dalseong-gun.” Former President Park plans to stay at her residence and visit Seoul for outpatient treatment if necessary.
It is known that on the day of discharge, former President Park will deliver a brief message to the press on the first floor of the hospital. Lawyer Yoo refrained from confirming the content, saying, “It is difficult to verify the message details.”
