[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Plaza Hotel, operated by Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, announced on the 22nd that it will offer a spring gourmet promotion at its buffet restaurant Seven Square, allowing unlimited enjoyment of fine dining course meals until May 31.
The spring gourmet promotion allows unlimited enjoyment of menus prepared by the hotel chef using seasonal spring ingredients in the form of fine dining courses including appetizers, mains, and desserts. In response to increased safety concerns following the spread of COVID-19, the promotion features enhanced one-plate menu offerings and provides both culinary and visual experiences through the chef’s live plating performance.
For appetizers to stimulate appetite, fragrant and colorful seasonal spring dishes are presented. These include 'Spring Wrap Dishes' where spring representative herbs such as wild chives and shepherd’s purse are wrapped with seafood in Chinese y?b?ngp?, 'Flounder Sashimi' known for its excellent taste and nutrition in spring, and 'Spring Vegetable Mushroom Oyster Sauce Stir-fry' which lightly stir-fries angelica and seafood with matsutake mushrooms.
At the live station, the Seven Square head chef’s main dish plating performance offers both the joy of eating and the experience of watching. Main dishes include 'Char-grilled Steak' where beef tenderloin steak is cooked in cream sauce and served with spinach, and 'Truffle Sauce Lobster Tail' marinated in white wine and herbs. Since the chef carefully prepares the dishes right before guests’ eyes and serves them on separate plates, guests can enjoy a fine dining experience within the buffet setting.
Premium charcuterie and desserts are also prepared. For the first time in a domestic luxury hotel, the Iberico Bellota Black Label Jam?n from Cinco Jotas, enjoyed by the Spanish royal family, is offered. Reflecting the growing interest in health, unlimited servings of 100% organic 'EBA' ice cream are provided.
