40s Arrested for Setting Fire in Officetel and Wielding Weapon at Responding Police Officers
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 40s who set fire and wielded a weapon in the officetel where he lived was arrested by the police.
The Guro Police Station in Seoul announced on the 18th that they have booked Ms. A (41), a Vietnamese national, on charges of attempted arson of an inhabited building and special threats.
Ms. A is accused of setting fire in the room of the officetel where she resides in Guro-gu, Seoul, around 7:40 p.m. on the 17th, and threatening the building manager with a weapon to prevent him from entering the room after hearing the fire alarm.
It is also known that Ms. A wielded the weapon at the police officers who arrived after the manager's report, injuring them.
