Yeongam-gun Selected for 12 Village Community Contest Projects in Jeonnam Province
Support of 57 Million KRW for Local Problem Solving and Creating Desirable Village Projects
[Yeongam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, has had a total of 12 locations selected in the 2022 Jeollanam-do Village Community Activity Support Contest.
The village community activity support project, hosted by Jeollanam-do, aims to restore community spirit through the formation of close relationships among residents and is promoted to discover and resolve local issues by residents themselves based on resident participation.
The selected projects include 8 locations in the community revitalization project field such as Jipsulnaeum in Haksan-myeon, 2 locations at the seed stage, and 1 location at the sprout stage.
The county analyzed that it achieved good results by discovering and soliciting projects involving resident participation to diversify village community revitalization projects, strengthen the capacity to solve local problems, and create villages where people want to live.
