Apple Store 3rd Branch to Open in Myeongdong Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Apple is opening its third Apple Store in Myeongdong, Seoul. The Apple Store location is the Center Point Myeongdong Building near Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station on Seoul Subway Line 2.
On the 17th, Apple unveiled the design of the exterior barricade for the 'Apple Myeongdong' store. This design is based on 'Chaekgado' (paintings depicting bookshelves, books, and stationery), which was popular among scholars in the late 18th-century Joseon Dynasty.
Apple explained, "Each section of the Chaekgado reflects Apple's unique characteristics, showcasing creativity and the energy of people communicating through Apple products and services."

The third Apple Store is expected to open sometime next month. Previously, Apple opened its first Korean Apple Store in 2018 in Garosugil, Seoul, and its second store last year at the IFC Mall in Yeouido, Seoul.
