On the 10th, Andong City was finally selected in the proposal contest for the railway idle land utilization project conducted by the Korea National Railway Corporation. The project to create a themed street from the old downtown to Wolyeonggyo Bridge will be actively promoted.
The Korea National Railway Corporation's railway idle land utilization project selects proposals for necessary projects such as creating resident-friendly spaces like walking trails and rest areas through a contest.
This project allows the use of the land free of charge for up to 20 years without purchasing the site. The city proposed the themed street creation project from the old downtown to Wolyeonggyo Bridge, which requires the utilization of idle railway land, and was finally selected.
