Gurye-gun and Gurye Jayeon Dream Park Join Forces to Revitalize Gurye Population

Agreed to Mutual Cooperation in Gurye Regional Economy and Cultural Tourism Sectors

[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] On the 16th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, signed a collaboration agreement with Gurye Natural Dream Park (Resident Council Representative Oh Seong-su) to revitalize the population of Gurye-gun.

Gurye-gun is currently establishing its own population revitalization plan in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's policy to support the Local Extinction Response Fund.

This agreement was promoted following the county's policy to establish an effective plan through collaboration with the private sector.

Gurye Natural Dream Park also agreed that the company has a significant role and responsibility in responding to population extinction in Gurye-gun and expressed its intention to support the activation of tourism linked to Gurye for iCOOP members and the production of various products using local agricultural products.

According to this agreement, Gurye-gun and Gurye Natural Dream Park plan to jointly discover and actively cooperate in the population revitalization projects to be promoted from August this year.

Natural Dream Park, which plays a key role in the local economy of Gurye-gun, has maintained a close economic cooperation system with the county through the distribution of eco-friendly agricultural products produced locally, hiring local talents, scholarship support, and obstetrics and gynecology personnel support.

It is expected that this agreement will also give momentum to the development project of Natural Dream Complex 3.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “Gurye Natural Dream Park has greatly contributed to the development of Gurye-gun so far,” and added, “Since preventing population extinction in Gurye is the biggest issue in the local community, I ask for your active role.”
