On the 17th, Korea National Open University to Hold Event Online and Offline
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education announced on the 16th that they will hold the 4th Open Dialogue on Education Policy on the 17th under the theme of "Developing Competencies for All Citizens at Each Life Stage Utilizing Universities."

The Open Dialogue on Education Policy is a forum jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, policy research institutes, and educational research organizations to establish the direction of future education by discussing current educational issues.
This forum will be held both online and offline at Korea National Open University in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The discussion will be live-streamed online (YouTube), and online participants can join the discussion in real time through a chat window.
Education experts and university officials will explore ways to strengthen the role of higher education institutions for continuous competency development of the public and seek plans to reorganize and restructure the LiFE project (Lifelong Education System Support Project for Universities) to accelerate the transition of universities to lifelong education systems.
The forum will discuss the role and development direction of lifelong education at national universities outside the metropolitan area, the establishment of adult learner-friendly lifelong education systems at universities, challenges of the LiFE project from the perspective of university campuses, and the importance of building lifelong education systems at junior colleges.
