Democratic Party Emergency Committee's First Regional Schedule in Gwangju: Pledge for Reform
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Emergency Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea will visit Gwangju for the first time since the presidential election, pledging reform and embarking on a livelihood-focused tour.
According to the Democratic Party's Gwangju Metropolitan City Branch on the 15th, the Emergency Committee will begin its schedule at 9 a.m. on the 16th by paying respects at the National May 18th Democratic Cemetery in Buk-gu, Gwangju.
They plan to express gratitude for the strong support shown by the Honam region in the 20th presidential election, as well as reflection and apology for failing to secure a regime re-creation.
Following this, the first regional Emergency Committee meeting will be held in the Gwangju City Party Branch conference room. At this meeting, Emergency Committee members and Gwangju-area National Assembly members will all speak about party reform-related issues.

In the afternoon, the Emergency Committee leadership plans to visit the Gwangju Global Motors (GGM) Casper production site in the Bitgreen Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, to reaffirm their commitment to creating youth jobs, including the promotion of ‘Gwangju-type Job Season 2.’
