Woowa Brothers (CEO Kim Beom-jun), the operator of Baedal Minjok (Baemin), announced on the 15th that they officially launched the rental service for the new serving robot 'Dilly Plate S' (Dilly S) according to the 'Strategic Partnership Agreement for Serving Robot Business' signed last month with SK Shieldus (CEO Park Jin-hyo), a subsidiary of SK Group.
Dilly S is a new serving robot released by Baemin last month. Its most notable feature is the 10.1-inch large touchscreen that serves as the robot's face, allowing store owners to apply desired videos, photos, or voice recordings. It supports both serving mode and cruise mode, enabling sequential serving of food to designated tables and providing side dishes or napkins along predetermined routes.
The autonomous driving performance has also been significantly improved. It has minimal shaking and enhanced obstacle avoidance capabilities. With a 3.5-hour charge, it can operate continuously for up to 15 hours, allowing the robot to be utilized throughout operating hours.
Dilly S offers two lineups depending on the store environment, and the three-tier tray installed on the robot can be freely adjusted to the desired height. Kim Min-su, Head of Serving Robot Business at Woowa Brothers, said, "Until just 2 to 3 years ago, serving robots were considered unfamiliar and novel attractions in our dining culture, but now demand is increasing beyond the metropolitan area to local regions. We expect more business owners to use Dilly Plate S, which has improved usability and safety, by leveraging SK Shieldus's nationwide sales and marketing infrastructure."
