During the election period, President-elect Yoon presented key pledges in the cultural and artistic fields, including "Entering an era of cultural enjoyment for all citizens" and "Expanding fair and blind spot-free support." The policy headquarters promised, "We will gradually increase the Cultural Nuri Card support funds, which provide 100,000 won each to 2.63 million people including basic livelihood security recipients, near-poor classes, and persons with disabilities, and expand income deductions for general citizens' book purchases and cultural expenses such as performances, museums, and art galleries to create a virtuous cycle."
Regarding support for K-culture, they stated, "We will firmly respond to foreign copyright infringements to actively protect the rights and interests of cultural artists and copyrights, and establish cultural security and sovereignty commensurate with the international status of our culture." They also said, "We will expand national treasury support for the restoration and maintenance of traditional temples and cultural assets and improve unreasonable regulations and tax systems related to traditional temples."
