"Healing Messages Resonate" ... Pukyong National University Holds Concert Praying for Peace in Ukraine
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Pukyong National University will hold the ‘PKNU Peace Prayer Concert’ wishing for peace in Ukraine on the 16th at 1:30 PM in the university theater at Daeyeon Campus.
Pukyong National University organized the concert for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to pray for the establishment of peace in Ukraine, which is suffering from war, and to share the importance of world peace.
The theme of the concert is ‘Elegy (비가)’. The Busan Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will perform, conducted by Oh Chung-geun, BSO Artistic Director and Pukyong National University Chair Professor, for one and a half hours.
As featured soloists, regional representative musicians including baritone Park Dae-yong, violinist Kim Ju-young, and oboist Go Gwan-su will take the stage to present pieces such as ‘Lift Me Up (Loeffland)’, ‘Bimok (Jang Il-nam)’, and ‘Gabriel’s Oboe (Morricone)’.
To ensure a safe performance, advance registration is required, with attendance limited to no more than 200 people in the 800-seat university theater, and a quarantine pass will be applied.
Pukyong National University plans to livestream the concert in real time on its YouTube channel so that not only on-site attendees but anyone can enjoy the performance.
