Gyeonggi-do announced on the 13th that the 'Gyeonggi-do Digital Transformation Committee,' established to respond to the 4th Industrial Revolution and promote digital governance, held its first meeting at the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency on the 11th and officially launched.
The committee is composed of six subcommittees: ▲ Digital Transformation (General) ▲ Smart Manufacturing ▲ Smart Mobility ▲ Metaverse ▲ Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data ▲ Digital Bio & Health.
The committee plans to establish a mid- to long-term innovation strategy that reduces social and economic necessary costs and proposes solutions to social problems using digital technology, thereby securing a strong digital technology foundation and further improving the quality of life for residents.
Earlier, to promote digital transformation, the province amended the 'Basic Ordinance on the Promotion of Digital Transformation in Gyeonggi-do' last year. Since January, it has been conducting a 'Gyeonggi-do Digital Transformation Policy Proposal' contest.
Ideas for discovering digital transformation strategic tasks will be collected from residents to implement policies that residents can feel directly.
