View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] The appointment of the chairman and vice chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee for President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol will be announced on the afternoon of the 13th.
Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for President-elect Yoon, stated that the appointments of the chairman and vice chairman of the transition committee will be announced at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, this afternoon.
The announcement is expected to be made as early as 2 PM and no later than around 3 PM.
Spokesperson Kim told reporters at the party headquarters in the morning, "We will try to make the announcement by 3 PM if possible," adding, "It seems there will be five people: the chairman, vice chairman, the planning and coordination division secretary, and two committee members."
When asked whether President-elect Yoon would announce the appointments personally, Kim replied, "There are many private schedules, so it is unlikely."
It has been reported that Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People Party, has been nominated as the chairman of the transition committee.
