‘Smart Wood Life’ Korea Forest Service Recruiting Participants for Wood Experience Program
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service will begin recruiting participants for the "Wise Wood Life" program starting on the 14th.
According to the Korea Forest Service, "Wise Wood Life" is being implemented to provide a non-face-to-face wood experience program for mobility-impaired individuals who have found it difficult to receive existing social service benefits due to COVID-19.
Supported by the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute (Green Fund), the program offers domestic wood experience activities to vulnerable groups, infants, and youth.
The purpose of this project is to apply an artistic creation process using domestic wood to enhance participants' positive self-awareness and self-esteem, as well as to contribute to improving relationships among members.
The main programs consist of three activities: making cypress humidifiers, bookshelves, and cabinet storage boxes.
"Wise Wood Life" will be held in two phases: from the 14th to the 31st of this month (1st phase) and from May 2nd to 20th (2nd phase), with approximately 2,300 participants to be recruited.
