Navalny Spokesperson Added to Wanted List
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Alexei Navalny, the opposition leader and political rival of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has urged his supporters to participate in anti-war protests across Russia on the 13th.
According to major foreign media on the 11th (local time), Navalny, who is currently imprisoned, stated on his Instagram, "If the Russian people oppose the war, the mad Putin will be stopped the fastest by the Russian people."
He emphasized, "Even if it seems like everyone has left or is scared, you must attend the anti-war rallies every week," adding, "You are the backbone of the movement against war and death."
Although Navalny is currently incarcerated, he is able to post on social media through his lawyers and colleagues.
In response, Russian police have reportedly placed Navalny's spokesperson Kira Yarmysh on the international wanted list and are attempting to imprison her, according to foreign media reports.
