Naju-si to Initiate 'Dialogue with Residents' from the 14th

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it will hold dialogues with residents from the 14th to the 28th to share the 2022 municipal vision and direction and to collect residents' suggestions.

This year's dialogues with residents will, except for the first and last days which are scheduled for one eup/myeon/dong each, circulate through two eup/myeon/dong areas per day, divided into morning and afternoon sessions.

Starting with Nampyeong-eup on the 14th, the schedule is as follows: Geumcheon-myeon and Sanpo-myeon on the 15th, Dado-myeon and Bonghwang-myeon on the 16th, Seji-myeon and Yeonggang-dong on the 17th, Ichang-dong and Yeongsan-dong on the 18th, Wanggok-myeon and Seongbuk-dong on the 21st, Geumnam-dong and Noan-myeon on the 22nd, Dasi-myeon and Munpyeong-myeon on the 23rd, Bannam-myeon and Gongsan-myeon on the 24th, Donggang-myeon and Songwol-dong on the 25th, and Bitgaram-dong on the 28th.

The dialogues with residents will proceed in the order of explaining the city's operational direction for this year including major business plans, reporting on eup/myeon/dong affairs, and conversations with residents.

This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, attendance will be minimized focusing on resident representatives, and the government guidelines and quarantine rules will be strengthened during the event.

A city official stated, “Although dialogues with residents have been held every early year, the schedule was postponed until after the presidential election on the 9th due to the Public Official Election Act related to the 20th presidential election,” and added, “We will comprehensively collect and review valuable proposals and wishes from residents to prepare policies with practical effectiveness centered on the field.”
