Korea Photonics Industry Promotion Association "Monthly 1.8 Million KRW Wage Support for Youth Hiring"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Korea Photonics Industry Promotion Association announced on the 10th that it is recruiting photonics convergence companies and capable youth to participate in the ‘Customized Talent Development Project Support for the Photonics Convergence Industry’.
This project is supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Buk-gu Office of Gwangju, aiming to be a regional specialized regular job support project that enables the local economy and youth to innovate and grow together. Its purpose is to induce youth settlement in the region and support the transformation and growth leadership of the regional economic structure.
Last year, through the Industrial Complex SMART Professional Support Project, the association supported 9 companies and 9 youths with an annual labor cost of 24 million KRW per person. This year, support will be expanded to 18 companies and 18 youths targeting photonics convergence industry companies specialized in the region.
Companies wishing to participate in the project must be small and medium-sized enterprises related to the photonics convergence industry located in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City. If they hire unemployed youth under the age of 39 within the region, they can receive up to 1.8 million KRW per month in labor cost support for up to 24 months.
Hired youth will receive competency enhancement programs such as job training and consulting to strengthen their capabilities, and an incentive of 10 million KRW will be provided in the third year.
