New Peugeot 308 Selected as '2022 Car of the Year' by Global Female Journalists
Participation of 56 Female Automotive Journalists from 40 Countries
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Stellantis announced on the 10th that the 'New Peugeot 308' has become the brand's first vehicle to win the '2022 World Women Car of the Year (WWCOTY)' award, selected by female automotive journalists worldwide.
The '2022 WWCOTY' was chosen from the best models in six categories, voted on by 56 female automotive journalists from 40 countries.
The 'New Peugeot 308' was named 'Best Urban Car' among the six award categories last month and ultimately won the 'Car of the Year' award, competing against the best models from each category. Although the 'Peugeot 3008' was selected in the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) category in 2017, this is the first time a Peugeot model has won the overall 'Car of the Year' award.
The 'New Peugeot 308' features various advanced technologies and convenience devices that enhance both driving safety and enjoyment. Peugeot's distinctive 'Digital i-Cockpit' places the instrument panel above the dashboard, allowing the driver to easily recognize vehicle information without taking their eyes off the road ahead.
The compact-sized steering wheel amplifies driving pleasure. Additionally, alongside diesel and gasoline engines, a plug-in hybrid system is offered, expanding consumer choices while contributing to reduced carbon emissions.
