Lee Soo-man·SM Donates 500 Million, JYP 300 Million in Generous Wildfire Relief Contributions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Lee Soo-man, SM's Chief Producer, along with SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, have generously donated large sums to aid relief efforts for the massive wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions.
On the 8th, Hope Bridge announced, "Chief Producer Lee and SM have sent a donation of 500 million KRW to be used for wildfire damage recovery and helping disaster victims return to their daily lives."
An SM Entertainment representative stated, "We hope the wildfires are extinguished as soon as possible and that the affected areas can be restored," adding, "We hope to provide some strength to the neighbors who have suffered damage."
On the same day, JYP Entertainment announced, "We have donated 300 million KRW to the international relief and development NGO World Vision to help children and disaster victims affected by the large wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions."
A representative said, "We hope that the disaster victims who lost their homes overnight and the children who may face emotional difficulties will gain strength and hope to live again," adding, "We wish for the wildfires to be extinguished quickly and for all children and families to recover their daily lives and livelihoods."
