Jungjingong Opens Carbon-Neutral Smart Factory Learning Center in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) established a carbon-neutral smart factory learning center at the Honam Training Institute in Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 8th and held an opening ceremony.
The event was attended by Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, Moon Young-hoon, Deputy Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, as well as heads of local small and medium venture business organizations and member companies, who celebrated the opening of the smart factory learning center and observed technology demonstrations.
The opening ceremony was conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, including minimizing the number of attendees and wearing masks.
SBC has been building the Gwangju smart factory learning center over approximately 13 months since February last year. Major facilities include an educational manufacturing line applying the latest ICT technology, a VR practice room implementing virtual reality, and a PLC practice room.
These training centers allow trainees to directly experience the composition and operation of smart factories by producing actual products.
The learning center opened in Gwangju on this day is characterized by the actual implementation of the carbon-neutral concept by utilizing solar energy in the educational manufacturing line. Additionally, it has the advantage of enabling various smart factory operation practices in a virtual reality space using VR equipment.
