Donation of 50 Million KRW to Support Wildfire Relief in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk by KIC
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) will donate 50 million won as disaster relief funds for wildfire damage in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do regions.
On the 8th, KIC announced that it decided to donate funds to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to support recovery from wildfire damage and aid for disaster victims in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon.
The donated funds will be used through the National Disaster Relief Association for recovery of disaster areas and provision of emergency relief supplies to support disaster victims.
Jin Seung-ho, CEO of KIC, said, "We hope this will help residents who lost their homes due to the sudden large-scale wildfire damage to restore their daily lives," adding, "KIC plans to actively participate in recovery and disaster relief support whenever disasters occur."
