Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Supports 50,000 Medicines and Food & Beverage Items to Wildfire-Affected Areas in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on the 8th that it will urgently provide products worth approximately 75 million KRW, including more than 50,000 units (bottles) of over-the-counter medicines and food and beverages, to disaster victims in the wildfire-affected areas of Gangwon and Gyeongbuk.
Kwangdong Pharmaceutical delivered over-the-counter medicines, including ‘Solpyo Uhwang Cheongsimwon,’ and beverages such as ‘Kwangdong Corn Silk Tea,’ which can be used as drinking water, to help stabilize the physical and mental health of the victims affected by the sudden wildfire.
The over-the-counter medicines prepared by Kwangdong Pharmaceutical will be distributed through local pharmacist associations, while beverages and other items will be delivered to temporary shelters such as gymnasiums, where evacuees, firefighters, and volunteer fire brigades are staying, through the Korean Red Cross and local governments.

A Kwangdong Pharmaceutical official said, “We prepared relief supplies with the hope that residents affected by the wildfire can return to their daily lives as soon as possible,” adding, “We hope the flames will be extinguished quickly and that the victims will find stability.”
