Suwon City Promotes 'Slate Removal and Roof Improvement Project' for Houses and Warehouses
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will continue to carry out slate removal and roof improvement support projects targeting houses and other buildings this year.
On the 8th, Suwon City announced that it has decided to promote the '2022 Slate Removal and Roof Improvement Support Project,' which supports part of the costs for removing slate roofs and walls of houses, warehouses, and livestock sheds, as well as roof improvement construction costs, with a total budget of 115.62 million KRW.
This year, the city will support 22 houses and 3 non-residential buildings (warehouses and livestock sheds) for slate removal, and 5 houses for roof improvement. For roof improvement construction costs, priority support households can receive up to 10 million KRW, while general households can receive up to 3 million KRW. The slate removal costs for warehouses and livestock sheds will be fully supported.
In particular, 'priority support households' such as basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, and other vulnerable groups will receive full coverage of slate removal costs, while general households will receive up to 3.52 million KRW.
However, households that have received support for slate removal or roof improvement construction costs more than once are excluded from eligibility.
Slate removal applicants will be selected in order of application after asbestos-related experts verify the site, and roof improvement support will select priority support households first, followed by general households.
