Honda Korea Opens Motorcycle Pop-up Store at Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch
Operation of 'C125' and 'Monkey 125' Experience Zones and Events
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Honda Korea announced on the 7th that it will operate a motorcycle-exclusive pop-up store on the 8th floor of Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch in Seocho-gu, Seoul, until the 18th.
This pop-up store was prepared to allow customers to experience Honda's ‘Smart Commuter,’ which can be used in various ways as an everyday means of transportation for commuting to school, work, hobbies, and leisure, in celebration of the new semester and spring season.
During the 15-day pop-up store event running until the 18th, visitors can experience Honda’s representative Smart Commuter models, the ‘C125’ and the ‘Monkey125.’ A large photo zone reflecting the free and unique concepts of the two models will be operated. Additionally, visitors who follow Honda Motorcycle’s official Instagram and post photos with hashtags as part of a certification SNS event will receive prizes such as motorcycle decal sticker packages on a first-come, first-served basis.
The C125 and Monkey125 are models gaining attention mainly from the MZ generation, who prefer the newtro sensibility trend and expressing their own individuality. The C125 is a model that inherits the Super Cub C100 developed in 1958 and carries the heritage and symbolism of Honda motorcycles.
The Monkey125, newly released last year as a leisure and hobby motorcycle, features a unique newtro style with sophisticated details based on the compact and cute design of the original Monkey first sold in 1967. The Monkey125 was developed with the concept of ‘a motorcycle anyone can enjoy with a light heart.’
