Samsung Electronics Service Launches 'Air Conditioner Pre-Check Service' for Summer Preparation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 6th that it will conduct an 'Air Conditioner Pre-Inspection Service' so that customers can conveniently use air conditioners during the expected heatwave this summer.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted in the '2022 Summer Climate Outlook' that this summer's temperatures are likely to be higher than average. This means that the intense heat experienced last year, when the annual average temperature was the second highest on record, could return this year as well.
Accordingly, Samsung Electronics Service plans to actively carry out the air conditioner pre-inspection service in preparation for the surge in air conditioner service requests during the summer. In fact, air conditioner service requests begin to increase 2 to 3 times compared to the previous month starting in June, with 75% of the total concentrated between June and August.
A Samsung Electronics Service official explained the purpose of the pre-inspection, saying, "The best way to prevent discomfort during the summer is to test run and have your air conditioner inspected in advance before the full heat arrives in June."
The air conditioner pre-inspection period lasts until June 10th, and applications can be made through the Samsung Electronics Service contact center and website.
Customers can watch videos on the Samsung Electronics Service website and blog to follow simple self-check steps such as ▲checking the power outlet connection and remote control batteries ▲cleaning the indoor unit dust filter ▲test running the air conditioner, and then apply for service if expert inspection is needed.
Engineers visit at the scheduled time to thoroughly check the product’s condition, including refrigerant leaks and drainage hose leaks, and repair costs excluding parts (travel and labor fees) are free of charge.
Samsung Electronics Service is also focusing on promotional activities to ensure as many customers as possible use the air conditioner pre-inspection service to stay cool this summer.
Customers visiting service centers receive an 'Air Conditioner Pre-Inspection' leaflet, and during visits for repairs of refrigerators, washing machines, etc., a 'Plus Inspection Service' is offered to additionally inspect air conditioners free of charge.
Through the SmartThings app, a 'Self-Diagnosis Push Notification' is sent to help customers easily check the refrigerant status and normal operation of air conditioners linked to the app.
