This surpasses the final turnout rate of 26.69% in the 2020 general election, which had the highest turnout since early voting was first applied to nationwide elections in 2014, breaking through the 30% mark. Compared to the same time frame, this is 9.52 percentage points higher than the 19th presidential election in 2017 (21.22%) and 8.79 percentage points higher than the 2020 general election (21.95%).
From 6 a.m. the previous day, a total of 13,584,839 voters out of 44,197,692 registered voters have cast their ballots in early voting so far. As of 3 p.m. today, the region with the highest early voting rate is Jeollanam-do (45.06%), and the lowest is Gyeonggi-do (27.55%). Early voting can be done at 3,552 early voting stations nationwide with just an ID card, without any separate registration.
