The Democratic Party's Election Countermeasures Committee's Task Force (TF) for current issues stated in a press release that "an analysis of the 2017 Supreme Court final ruling involving Choi's business partner Ahn revealed that Choi lent money at an annualized interest rate of 600% in 2013."
Choi lent 800 million won to Ahn on February 6, 2013, and was to receive 1.2 billion won by March 5, which raises suspicions of an annual interest rate of 600%. TF leader Kim Byung-gi said, "It is suspicious that Ms. Kim habitually defaulted on payments, relying on her prosecutor husband’s power after marriage," adding, "Beyond fabricating academic credentials, falsifying career records, and stock manipulation, delaying tax payments and late repayments while trusting her prosecutor husband, who should uphold the law more than anyone else, is appalling."
The TF explained, "Choi secured a promissory note notarization and a loan repayment agreement when lending 800 million won. The notarized promissory note is a powerful debt collection tool used by experts that allows the debtor’s property to be auctioned without trial," adding, "This shows that the money lending was not a one-time event but the work of an expert."

The TF also revealed that Yoon’s wife, Kim Geon-hee, had defaulted on property taxes for a house she owns. According to data obtained through Seocho District Office, Kim defaulted on property taxes levied on her Acrovista residence in Seocho-dong for three consecutive years starting in 2012, only paying after a seizure order was issued and five months had passed.
