Fire in Guryong Village Spreads to Daemosan Mountain Due to Strong Winds
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Around 5:14 PM on the 4th, a fire that broke out at a store near the entrance of Guryong Village in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, spread to Daemosan.
The fire authorities and Gangnam District Office are evacuating residents living in Guryong Village and are currently extinguishing the fire. There have been no casualties reported so far, but it is reported that five buildings, including stores and houses, were destroyed by the fire.
At around 5:20 PM on the same day, the fire authorities issued a Level 1 response, mobilizing all personnel from the local fire station. However, as the fire spread to Daemosan, the response level was raised to Level 2 at around 6:17 PM. When Level 2 is issued, personnel from nearby fire stations are also deployed.

At around 6:41 PM, the Gangnam District Office sent evacuation messages to hikers on Daemosan and local residents.
