The entrance ceremony event held in the Minecraft virtual campus gathered students in the Sudeokjeon Grand Auditorium built on the virtual campus, where a virtual campus tour, OX quiz, and racing games were conducted.
The event was broadcast live through Dong-Eui University's YouTube channel, with about 250 freshmen and current students participating via the Minecraft server.
Dong-Eui University has been running the 'Metaverse Campus Implementation and Untact-based Ecosystem Creation' program as a specialized project of the University Innovation Project Group since April last year. Graduation ceremony events were also held in August last year and February this year.
The second crew of the Dong-Eui University Minecraft team, which organized the event, included Professor Ok Seung-ho of the Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering, Professor Kim Yoon-hee of the Department of Fire and Disaster Administration, Professor Lee Sang-wook of the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting, and 15 students from various departments and majors such as Robotics and Automation Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Computer Engineering, Nursing, Advertising and Public Relations, Digital Content, Food and Nutrition, Mechanical Automotive Robot Parts Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, New Materials Engineering, and Chemical Environmental Engineering.
