Man Arrested for Beating Girlfriend Turns Out to Be Wanted Fugitive
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man who was arrested by the police for assaulting his girlfriend was found to have an additional charge of violating the Military Service Act during the investigation.
Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the 4th that they have arrested Mr. A on the spot for assault and are currently investigating.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Ms. B, who confronted him at a house in Gwanak-gu around 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd, asking, "Did you drink with another woman?"
When the police arrived following Ms. B's report and were verifying personal information, they confirmed that Mr. A was wanted for violating the Military Service Act.
