Courier Union, CJ Daehan Tongun Agency Alliance Agreement Passed... Operations to Normalize on 7th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Ji-hwan] The CJ Logistics branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) National Courier Workers' Union has decided on the 3rd to end the strike and return to work normally starting from the 7th.
On the afternoon of the same day, the Courier Workers' Union and the Franchisee Association held a joint press conference in front of the CJ Logistics headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, announcing that the provisional agreement reached with the Franchisee Association was finally approved with 90.4% in favor.
In this vote, 1,556 out of 1,718 eligible voters participated. In the on-site vote, 1,406 voted in favor, 142 against, and 8 were invalid.
The agreement includes △ immediate end of the strike and return to the workplace △ both parties will start discussions on a supplementary agreement immediately upon returning to work and complete it by June 30 △ cooperation to prevent any criminal or civil complaints filed by franchisees due to the strike from proceeding.
