Spent 500 Million Won on Neighbor Residents' Health... Saewool Nuclear Power Plant Signs Agreement for Local Residents' Health Checkup Support Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters has generously donated 500 million KRW for health checkup expenses for residents living near the nuclear power plant.
Saeul Headquarters announced that on the 3rd, it signed an agreement with the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council in the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council meeting room to support the residents' health checkup project to improve the welfare of Seosaeng-myeon residents.
The health checkup targets are residents of Seosaeng-myeon who have lived there for more than 10 years and are aged between 20 and 45 or over 70 years old who were not examined the previous year.
Residents wishing to undergo the checkup can apply through the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council. In 2021, 500 local residents aged between 45 and 55 received checkups.
The hospitals for the checkup include Ulsan Hospital, Ulsan Central Hospital, Ulsan Donggang Hospital, Ulsan Good Morning Hospital, Ulsan Joeun Samjeong Hospital, Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences, and Isem Hospital. Residents can choose one of the basic checkup, detailed cancer examination, or detailed cerebrovascular examination.
Jung Yi-seok, chairman of the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council, said, “The health checkup project has received better responses from local residents than any other project, and I hope it will continue steadily.”
