Seoul City Recommends Former Statistics Korea Chief Park Hyung-soo as Head of Seoul Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 3rd that it has recommended Park Hyung-soo, former Commissioner of the National Statistical Office, as the final candidate for the new president of the Seoul Institute to the Seoul Institute Board of Directors.
Park, the recommended candidate, is evaluated to have a deep understanding of institutional management as well as modern urban social issues, having served as the president of the Korea Institute of Public Finance and the Commissioner of the National Statistical Office.

The Seoul Institute plans to appoint the new president after a resolution by the board of directors on the 10th, in accordance with the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Local Government-Funded Research Institutes.
