On the 2nd (local time), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that the number of Ukrainian refugees was counted at 836,000. Of these, more than half, 454,000, headed to Poland. There were also people who fled to Hungary (116,000), Slovakia (67,000), Moldova (43,000), and Romania (38,000).
Some also left Ukraine for Russia. Between the 18th and 23rd of last month, 96,000 people from the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk went to Russia.
