President Yoon visited Jeju International Airport, which has the highest passenger traffic during the pandemic, as the first regional airport visit. He conducted on-site inspections of COVID-19 quarantine management in passenger contact areas and key airport safety sites including the airport operations center, aircraft movement areas, air traffic control facilities, and fire brigade.
After receiving a work report, President Yoon emphasized that the best airport service is "safety." He stated, "By adding Safety to the existing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to create ‘ESSG management,’ the corporation will play a leading role in the growth and development of the future aviation industry." He urged everyone to faithfully perform their respective duties on-site with zero-defect safety as the top priority value.
